Ferrovanadium is the principal vanadium-containing ferroalloy and the most important and largest production of vanadium products, accounting for over 70% of the final use of vanadium products. Ferrovanadium is an important alloy additive in the steel industry. Vanadium improves the strength, toughness, heat resistance and ductility of steel. Ferrovanadium is commonly used in the production of carbon steels, low alloy strength steels, high alloy steels, tool steels and cast iron. 

The design and technology of vanadium and titanium smelting furnaces are continually advancing with the aim of improving resource utilization, reducing energy consumption, and minimizing environmental pollution, while improving product quality and yield.
