EAF ultra-high power technology is the focus of our research, ultra-high power is the most prominent feature of the new generation of EAF equipment, advanced electric furnace steelmaking technology ensures the highest level of production capacity and quality, the EAF power configuration up to 1500KVA/t molten steel ultra-high power input, the time from the steel out of the steel is compressed to within 45min, so as to make a substantial increase in the capacity of the EAF.
EAF adopts a new raw material preheating technology, which can minimize production cost and increase production. Effective recycling of heat energy through 100% raw material preheating reduces energy consumption to less than 300KWh per ton of steel.
EAF can be combined with LF and VD equipment to produce high quality varieties of steel as well as stainless steel. Ultra-high power input and high throughput are the unique features of this type of furnace smelting.
Based on our extensive experience, we can offer a wide range of advanced and efficient EAF steelmaking solutions.
Working Process of EAF Electric Arc Furnace
After accurately placing scrap steel and iron materials inside the electric furnace, the arc ignition mechanism is immediately activated, and a strong current is introduced through highly conductive electrodes to accurately penetrate into the structure of scrap steel and iron. This process relies on the extreme heat energy released by the arc to achieve efficient pyrolysis and melting of scrap steel. The liquid metal then gathers at the bottom of the furnace, ready for further refining treatment.
During the melting process, the water spraying device sprays water mist to control the temperature and atmosphere in the furnace. In the highly controlled melting process, the ad hoc micro-mist spraying system is dynamically regulated according to precise algorithms, spraying water mist finely and uniformly, stabilizing the temperature field inside the furnace and optimizing the chemical reaction environment in a scientific way, ensuring the high efficiency and stability of the melting process and the purity of the products.
In addition, for the harmful gas emissions derived from the melting operation, the system is equipped with advanced exhaust gas purification devices, adopting multi-stage purification technology, real-time monitoring and effectively transforming and processing the harmful components in the exhaust gas, strictly complying with the environmental protection standards, and actively fulfilling the responsibility of the enterprise for environmental protection.
Characteristics of EAF Electric Arc Furnace
The EAF electric arc furnace consists of a furnace shell, an electrode system, a cooling system, a water injection unit, an exhaust gas treatment unit and a power supply system. The furnace shell is made of steel plate and covered with refractory material to resist high temperature. The electrode system includes upper and lower electrodes and an electrode holder. The electrodes are connected to the power supply system through the electrode holders, thus directing the electric current into the furnace. The cooling system is used to maintain the temperature of the electrodes and the furnace shell to prevent overheating The water spray unit is used to spray water mist to control the cooling and the atmosphere inside the furnace. An exhaust gas treatment unit is used to treat the harmful gases generated during the melting process.
EAF electric arc furnaces are capable of melting scrap and iron in a shorter period of time, resulting in a higher production efficiency Compared to conventional steelmaking methods, the EAF can control the melting process more precisely to obtain the desired alloy.
